2025 marked the fourth annual summer event at Gotham Central Comics -SUMMER BASH! This mini con hosted live events, cosplay and over 40 local creators and some of comic books biggest names such as Jim Zub! It was a fantastic weekend of art, comics and pop culture for everyone to enjoy!
Summer Bash was a weekend of comics community and friends! Comic fans of all ages came out to support Gotham Central Comics and this amazing local event! Being a participating artist was an honour and met so many wonderful people! Entering this comic shop you are welcomed with nothing but kindness! (And wall to wall comic book goodness!)
"I want others to see these characters as I did as a kid, as real people. I want them them to be as inspired as I was and still am.."
The best part of in person events is meeting the people. People love these iconic characters as much as I do and there's nothing better than sharing our favourite memories of these superheroes. Everyone of all ages enjoyed these realistic portraits as much as I enjoyed drawing them!
This newest portrait art of Stan Lee was recently part of a group exhibition at 33 Contemporary Gallery, Miami. This group exhibition showcased works from artists from all over the world from realism, abstract, hyperrealism and more. All artworks were no larger than 12 inches creating an all new viewing experience for the audience.
Superman Day is not just a day to celebrate the man of steel it's a day to celebrate community, comics and our love of our hobbies! People of all ages came to show support to their favourite icon and local comic shop-Heroes World! It was a great day of meeting new fans, talking about our favourite Superman moments with awesome super comic bundles created for this special day!
July marked the 23rd anniversary of local comic book shop Heroes World! I've been friends with Jon and Andre since I was a kid, and it was a huge honour to be invited as a guest artist to help celebrate their special day! This was my first in person event since Covid and it was a weekend of core memories made! The best part of in person events is meeting and connecting with the people-from other local creatives, to aspiring artists, to art and comic fans! Some of the guests included comic industry creatives such as Jim Zub, J. Torres, Mike Del Mundo, Jason Lapidus and more!
From art fans, to comic fans the weekend was a great opportunity to connect to the community! Heroes World has been a big supporter of local creatives for years and it was great to be a part this amazing in person event!
Most of my background has been in the gallery setting of the fine art world; being my first comic book/art related event it was an amazing learning experience! It was very casual like catching up with old friends, talking all things art, comics, superheroes and more! Hopefully this will be the first of many in person comic shows!
Nothing is more important than community to me, so having this chance to meet and greet people in person made this event even more memorable! Its always been my favourite part about in person shows!

A DIGITAL EXHIBITION HONOURING HEALTH CARE WORKERS
A digital art exhibition traveling across the United States honouring our health care workers that sadly passed from COVID-19 while on the line of duty. It is one of the most important exhibitions that Jessica has had to the honour of participating in. This round of portrait artworks is currently making it's way across the U.S. and has been shown at Big Screen Plaza in New York 2021.
This digital art show has been the most personal and important show of Jessica's career. She had the honour of drawing Christopher Davis, and felt a personal connection to this portrait..." I got to know him over the months I spent drawing his portrait. This project is what being an artist is about, giving back to others, and just having compassion and kindness towards others."
